This portrait of Mr. Costner was painted from life in a single sitting at his ocean home in California amid a lively afternoon with his young family watching the painting process from under my easel almost. It appeared in The Ventura Breeze Newspaper, and is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Ventura County.

"It's a first! (having a portrait painted) I have lived a life that has had a lot of firsts. It's a thoughtful thing to have someone take the time to do this. Johanna has perfected her art her whole life and I got the benefit of it..." Kevin Costner
